EPDM Roofing Systems

EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) widely used in low-slope buildings in the United States and worldwide. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene, and propylene are derived from oil and natural gas.

Modern rubber is not susceptible to the sun’s UV and ultraviolet rays, a properly-installed rubber roof can last 50 years or even longer. Rubber can withstand high winds and even hail up to three inches in diameter. Many rubber roofs laid down in the 1970s are still in use today.
